I noticed today that my aircon didn't seem to be getting cold.
I had it regassed last year before the summer arrived, and it's been working perfectly. It's left on all year round and the temp is usually left alone between 16 and 18 (I hate being hot).
I did a fault scan and got this:

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start with diagnosis?
I'll be checking the fuse, but after that I'm a bit uncertain where aircon is concerned.

After a lot of fault diagnosing we found and fixed the problem.
Fuses were fine.
Compressor wasn't getting a live feed.
Wiring loom traced across to the passenger side and found the brown wire had been severed, possibly the outcome of a pheasant flying head first through my fog light surround just after Christmas.
Solder, heat shrink and electric tape on the break, and it works again. Cold air, no fault code, money saved.
Happy :)

Ahhh maybe a mention of the pheasant may have helped us lol

If I had thought it was relevant I would have mentioned it. As the recent temps have been that cold that AC wouldn't work anyway, it was weeks between the pheasant incident and the realisation that AC wasn't working.
At the point of fault diagnosis we discovered the severed cable and realised the cause.

Let's hope it roasted well ;P
