My T reg 2.5tdi a6 airbag warning light came on last week.
Will this result in an mot failure.
Is there any easy diy fixes possible , or is it an expensive trip to the stealers .
I do not fancy getting charged 25% of value of the car.
Thanks for any info.

On my old A4, when my airbag warning light came on I checked the contacts on the airbag connector under the driver seat and then had the fault cleared using VAGCOM. It never came back...

If the airbag warning light is on, the airbag is deactivated, so if it is in the MOT it might fail on that.

User Aragorn on this forum did it for me - took him about 15 minutes in all!

don't you have to have the airbags changed at that kind of age?

Yeah @ £500 each, would you?

And the Airbag is not part of the MOT, mine's been on since i've owned it practically, i've taken the car apart so many times that i keep seting off high resistance in the airbag system (at least thats what the VAGCOM ses)
