Airbag Sensor Help Please

Hi All,

Drove through a flood a little fast and have knackered the airbag sensors.
The MOT is due next month and as we are selling our A3 anyway I need to fix them.

Q. Has anyone done this and where is the best place to buy them?

Correct me if i am wrong but airbag sensors can't get wet, they are set inside the cabin, they work by G force created by an impact of an accident, they are not sensors like parking sensors located in the bumpers etc.

I'm not sure to be honest, I'm just going off what the garage man said.

The car was in for new cooling fans anyway (AA warranty) and I asked him to investigate, I had gone through the flood the day before and the light came on. He said he looked at them and they were soaking so he tried to dry them but couldn't guarantee it would work.

Car is A3 1.9 TDi 54 plate if that helps.

sounds like he`s talking about the crash sensors to me
