Airbag light coming on an off.

Some times its on and off alot. Sometimes it's barely on.

sensor is under the seatbelt coil in the B pilar

Unlikely to be a wire then. Time to get a fresh sensor?

Right, had it off, got a good look at it. Wiring seems fine. So ordered a fresh sensor.

Mine done that, turned out it was relates to an intermittent brake light switch.

Right, had it off, got a good look at it. Wiring seems fine. So ordered a fresh sensor.

I understand the sensor is in B pillar below the belt for earlier A4 B6 models. Was yours there?
Could you give me a starting point with the removing of the trims. Any info will be useful.

A friend who's advice can be trusted told me this is a common problem with this model. Re-soldering of the accelerometer (the crash sensor) fixes the problem.
