Guys,

I know it’s recommended to change the air filter at 40k miles according to Audi.

Just wanted to know if people did it earlier?

My service is due and I’m sitting at 26k miles. (5 year old car)

Yes for the relative cost I’d change it earlier.

I used to change everything earlier.

Remove the filter check condition, it will be obvious if it needs a change & if doing yourself, it's cheap enough to warrant, so you be the judge.

I change mine every 10k or so.
