For my S3, you guys was amazing, best quote by a mile, so you have me insured with you guys on that. On my A6 however, you guys wasn't even competitive! Don't think your policies was suited for some business use on the policy.

Hi guys, thought I'd chime in and let you know my experience today.

Ordered a new s5 for a march 1 delivery. I have done some comparison site quotes and got a best of £475 fully comp. I have 13years ncb and no endorsements etc..... put in a call to flux after looking on this site and the very helpful girl said they couldn't even get close. She said my price was coming in at over £1k. I was then transferred to a "specialist" (be wiser). I had to go through the "VIP" department due to the value of the car..... (what), long story short the quote from them came in at £1500. What a joke. To make it even worse the quote they had was from the same insurer I already had the £475 quote from. So I must say that was an hour of my life I will not get back, i am amazed insurance companies (or brokers) can get away with this. They make up the prices as they go along..... the prices are not even remotely sensible.

Our premiums are determined by our underwriters and there are a number of risk criteria that determine each individuals premium. For some we will be competitive and others will unfortunately be disappointed with the quotes our underwriters provide. Thankfully you appear to have received a competitive premium.

Not only did the click through fail to retrieve the policy details ("We're sorry there was an error with your quotation") I then had to verbally repeat the whole application again, including the car modifications.

And after all that, the call cut off (for the second time) and there was no call back.

Hi Dan - my feedback isn't great I am afraid - great service and quote last year so you deserved my business and money, but this year despite no changes to my situation, I have had my renewal letter with over £150 increase. No one can explain why and in over a week I have had no response from your colleagues about other insurers. I tried last year and AF were far more expensive than the renewal, just tried again this year and they were £300 more expensive than the cheapest quote I have online, and £200 more than my renewal. I understand everyone is different, however I've no modifications, no convictions, 7 years no claims... literally nothing that I can see which would make me a "bad" person to insure.

Adrian-flux insured my car, they was not the cheapest but they were more thorough in the questions and took more details of upgrades ect on the car. Also anyone with a older model like mine that's still worth a lot of money you need to check what value your insurer will give you if it gets stolen! I value mine around the 20k mark but you check the value of a 2006 rs4 on we buy any cars its around the 6-7k mark which is what most insurers will pay you if your pride and joy gets stolen. Adrian flux checked this they also offer a deal that guarantees the value. it costs more but if you loose your car at least you can replace it. I've only just joined but I'll be applying for my discount next time.
