Hi all,

Booked the A7 in with my local Audi dealer for its last remaining oil service on the service plan and I've been quoted the below for additional items due....do they look right and what's involved in the stronic oil change? my cars done 47k

aircon £120
pollen £76
fuel filter £140
stronic £310
brake fluid £109

thoughts please?

Just looking at my final service before I traded it in and it had done 46695 miles so similar to yours

I had the major service done as part of the service plan it too had which included
a Washer, plug, cabin filter, fuel filter, oil filter, cleaner?, and of course the oil.

Also had the Brake fluid change and air conditioning services carried out

The gearbox /s-tronic service is due at 35k and then 40k for subsequent as far as I remember so you're 12k over that - looking at the history, I can see I got it done at 37k which involved gear oil, filter, seal ring and washer. This was at a cost of £225 which is pretty standard if not a fixed price from Audi unless things have changed.

Is your Pollen and Fuel filters not part of the service plan service itself?

Looking at a few of the franchise websites for fixed-price servicing costs, it looks to be around £225 for s-tronic so not sure why yours is £310.

I am a little out of touch with ICE cars now that Ive moved to the e-tron so I'm sure you will have more upto date info shortly.
Also this is based on the A7 2015 and up model but not the facelift so I was covered in the 3 years or older fixed price costs category.

hi thanks for the reply.

I had the dust and pollen filters done as part of the last major service 12/2020, dont think it covered the fuel filter or maybe wasn't due at the time?

They're telling me the pollen is now due to be replaced again (every 2yrs)? as well as the fuel filter.

I think they actually done the wrong service the last time. They've done two majors in a row.

ill ring another franchise group and geta price for the gearbox.

You can go to any independent Audi Specialist and have the car serviced, and still retain your warranty, for any items not covered under your service plan.

Ive just had a major service on the S7 done (same, but different...)
The prices you have quoted are close to what Ive just paid - though I also had a lot of additional work carried out, so there may have been some discounting:

Brake Fluid Change - £58.31
Aircon Service - £124
Pollen Filter - £80
S-Tronic Service - £185 (I supplied the oil and filters) - Note that the g/box oil is EXPENSIVE.....

Unfortunately they don't offer a Service Plan 4.0T cars, and Ive been serviced outside the network for a while - but was having a recall done, so basically let them get on with it.

Thanks for the info.

I've contacted a local indi and am waiting for them to get back to me with a quote.

The cars no longer in warrantee so i'm pretty open to using non main dealer garages...as long as they know whet they are doing! only issue is they wont be able to update the digital service log....again no biggy.

However, in the end if the figures are as you say in the right ball park, I'll just get it done from Audi, for the peace of mind. I'm glad I already paid for a service plan as it would have been a nice £1k service otherwise. who said owning Audi's was cheap hey lol
