Access to ashtray to change power socket lamp

on my B8, the lighter socket beside the gear change has blown its bulb, and hence neither it nor the ashtray are lit.
How do I gain access to the socket so I can change the bulb?

And while we're in the area, how do I get the rear socket (under the vents for the back seat) out? The flap is loose, and only lifts to 70 degrees.
