access codes

Bit of a general question, I would like to know how to find the security access codes for vag modules as I am struggling to access a boot module.

What module are you referring to as the "boot module"?

Is your VCDS up to date and current?

Yes, the boot module I have tried "12345"that is supposed to work with the Octavia however my 2014 Passat rejects it ,I want to enable remote closure.
My vcds is current and genuine

The 8P never came with automatic or electric boot opening/closing so you may find enabling the feature a bit difficult.

@Darren92 Do you know why some functions require the access code and some don't? I'm fairly new to using VCDS so just asking out of interest really. Is it to prevent novice users carrying out functions that could break something?
