Accelerator pedal cover broken???

Lent my mrs my car this morning and she's managed to break the accelerator pedal cover clean off the arm, not sure how but hey ho.

Phoned Audi and the nice parts man has advised I need to buy the whole pedal at a cost of £85. Anybody know if there is another option? If not anybody breaking a car in Herts, Beds or Bucks?

I got a fly by wire pedal off a tdi if is any good

Mine's an early car so has a cable throttle, don't think the two are interchangeable but thank you

I should hopefully be down my local breakers at the weekend they have a few early petrols in do you want me to have a look?

Just booked Friday off to do a scrappy hunt, PAS pump is playing up too Will let you know PDQ if I strike out.

Think the old girl overheard me saying I was going to replace her in March/April.
