ACC + Manual Gearbox...

Hi All

Not sure if this has been asked before but I'm curious as to how Adaptive Cruise Controls works with a manual gearbox?

I recall that you can select ACC even without S-Tronic. So I could imagine a scenario where you are doing 70 on a motorway, the gentleman in front decides to suddenly brake and slow down to 40 for some invisible object he's seen.

Would it stall?

It'll brake until the revs get down to about 1,100rpm and it'll then chime and say 'ACC - Engine Speed' or something and disengage so you need to keep an eye on the revs.

So no, it won't stall, but it might scrub off 30mph and then let you smash into the back of the car in front at 1,000rpm :D
