They changed my engine oil and filter , brake fluid ,haldex oil they even cleaned gauze filter and replaced pump under warranty saying it was faulty showed me video and replaced a hose on my washer bottle and a rear tyre ! All good you would think but I received a phone call today askin if they would mind someone picking my car up as they had three bolts they still had to put back :rage::rage::rage: wtf it was a voicemail so never had chance to ask which bolts but whilst reversing out work tonight on full lock very bad knocking on drivers wheel .
Can’t wait to see them tomorrow :rage::rage:
Oh any suggestions what bolts are missing ??

You need to push for compensation. that is utterly ridiculous.

you might want to think about getting an indy to confirm there hasn't been any damage. I wouldn't trust Audi at this point...their just gonna try to cover their asses.

I would ask what bolts and if concerned about damage get them to sent a lorry to pick the car up, depending on how far you are away from Carlisle.

I’d call and say that unless they explain exactly what the bolts are for you do not feel safe driving it and insist they pick up the car with a loader and provide a courtesy car.

If you have breakdown like AA call them out at least it is all recorded.

What **** poor service! As others have said, they should come pick it up using breakdown service at their cost, and some sort of compensation. That is unacceptable and they need to pay for it.

With what you described as what they serviced. The only bolts I can think of are the Haldex pump or the rear wheel bolts.

That's shocking. I've never heard anything good about this dealership. A work colleague bought an S3 Saloon with them via Drive the deal. Placed the order, yet didn't receive the car till 12 months later. We `think` that given the very good discount on the car, and the fact they probably weren't making money on it, they they kept selling his build slot to other customers. Customers who they were making money off. It was ridiculous. Every time he phoned up or emailed, he was flogged off with some excuse.

As others have said, try to get an independent to look at it. if not. Don't let them take the car away until they have told you what the spare bolts are for. Get it in writing, so any issues down the line, it will be their responsibility to rectify them.

Update ! phoned today spoke to service advisor the technician must have used original bolts to replace haldex pump , so no bolts showin up as used from stock therefore paperwork for Audi uk warranty work not correct . So the vehicle has to go back for new bolts , pain in the a*** :rage:

Interesting that Audi caught this and that it didn't get buried and ignored by the dealer, before these kind of checks and balances came along most shops would have shrugged it off as an "oh well" and bolts would be re-used for most things.

Defo a pain in the proverbial to have to go in again, but at least it was caught.

At least it's not bolts for something serious :)

So what about the noise you heard on full lock? That must be another fault or what? :slapped:

Keep all voice message, texts, emails and get them to write something down saying that they had been missed and you had to go back almost a week later.

I would contact the ceo of the garage (in writing ) , explaining you are not happy , giving him 7 days to reply and suggest some sort of compensation and extended warranty to be applied just in case anything goes off with the car in the future.
I would also log it with the CEO of Audi , then you have it registered .

Exactly, most of the money a dealership makes is in the workshop and on things like GAP, paint protection, alloy care etc.

Im probably going to get flamed for this but you could just take the car back and let them fit whatever bolts they need to fit. Done.

No need to call the AA, or write a letter to the CEO, or record messages, or etc etc etc. I’m sure if there was a safety risk they wouldn’t have left a voicemail asking if they could pick it up :/
