There is red, but need BimmerCode:

Probably going to try the swap of the red and blue (blue in top)
That colour scheme would certainly be a favourite for Rangers fans up here :tearsofjoy:

Some pics from our wee trip to the Trossachs today. Car getting dirty very quickly in this weather. Brodie certainly enjoyed his first go in it

Chips or ice cream in Callander was it?
Looked like a nice day for a trip up the Trossachs, only seen it from behind the books studying at the kitchen table

Sorry but the dug would be in the boot if that was my new car

Looks great .
First of many great trips out for you in the new motor I'm sure and it looks like Brodie will have the back seat reserved for them all
You should be glad you didn't go further west, you seem to have the best of the weather, it looks tropical there compared to over here today :cold:

Cheers Bill. Aye, the wee man has loads of room to lie down now. We got some sleet but generally it was a pleasant cold day. Tried a few different driving modes. Although I didn’t buy this vehicle for economy it was notable that Eco Pro mode was way better than in the S3 (which I used once just to try). Even driving sensibly still, Sport Plus you can tell will be brutally quick and loud but that’s for a date in the future

Nah, not yet mate. She’ll not drive for a wee while yet until she’s comfortable enough.
She loves the vehicle though.

Absolutely, he seemed to take to the X3 straight away Nev

We are extremely lucky to have stunning areas like this all around us within an hours drive. Guilty of taking it for granted too!

So that’s the car in for it’s towbar fitting. A detachable Westfalia one with fully coded electrics to deal with the X3’s rear end gadgets. Hope they look after my 2 week old baby!!

Hi AB,
How are you finding the car?
I've been a bit tempted since looking at your pics and been having a look about with the result that I'm viewing one on Saturday.
It is a year old rather than new but well specced with the Msport plus, technology and comfort packs all fitted.
I really like my M140i, especially the engine and gearbox, but I've got 2 cocker spaniel pups that are growing and I'm now struggling to squeeze them in the boot so the X3 M40i seems the obvious choice .
If I do end up buying it is of course your fault for starting this thread

Hi Bill
Absolutely loving the car thanks. The sound is incredible and the tech is endless. The sound system is fantastic too.
I’m getting around the 30 mpg on average but didn’t buy it for economy tbh.
The space, both inside the car and the boot, is great. It’d be ideal for the dogs. Our wee fella just goes on the back seat tbh but two cockers might be better in the boot with the cover retracted.
The one you’re looking at sounds like it has the three main ‘packs’ which is good.
One thing to watch, if the wheel size is important to you (it was to me), is that some cars were pre-specced with 20 inch wheels despite the M Performance pack coming with 21’s. The 21’s make a difference to appearance imho and they’re not uncomfortable despite run flats being fitted.
I take full responsibility for you changing haha!

Be needing a police escort for that abnormal load!
Caravan makes the X3 look tiny!!

You’re not wrong Barry! :tearsofjoy:
The ‘van is 8m long on top of the X3, equates to the length of an arctic trailer
Great that I picked Storm Dennis to collect it lol

That's bad that the car was in Carlisle and not Glasgow.
As for the stone chips and the sales persons attitude I would be looking somewhere else for one nearer home Edinburgh or Glasgow unless you really want this one then talk them into serious discount or freebies for the inconvenience of having to wait.
Have you looked anywhere else since you got home ?

Audi Bairn_
The van and car are a good match, You realise the van will need the same amount of detailing as the car got before you use it , so they both bead superbly.

I know :tearsofjoy:
It’s a big beast to wash, never mind detailing. Will snow foam it before putting a storage cover on it for now. Was clean on collection obviously but the trip home introduced some grime.

Hi AB,

That looks like a serious bit of kit - you will need all of the 360 horses to pull that
I hope you haven't watched the Top Gear episode with the caravan racing recently :racer:

With the power of the X3 it was till difficult to keep the speed down :tearsofjoy:
I’d already joked to my Mrs that we’d get home to find a tow bar and two wheels attached if we forgot we were towing haha!

That looks really nice , Glad they did it right for you.
I keep looking at x3 but the 2.0 litre one with m sport plus 2nd hand .

Still think this is the best car forum hence I'm still on here 2 years after selling the S3.
Haven't been able to find a X3 forum yet, maybe some of the other X3 owners could help out with that
