Hi there,

i have a 53 plate B6 1.8t, which I've owned for a couple weeks now.. The ABS and ESP light came on earlier, I read on another thread that the first thing to check should be brake lights which I thought odd, however to my surprise all 3 brake lights appear to not be working.. Have checked all the fuses which are all ok.

My question is do I need to replace the brake switch on top of the brake pedal? If so, is it an easy enough job and how much are they?

Any help would be appreciated..

cheers

Jim

Just received, I'll pick the part up tomorrow and give it a bash. Is it worth getting from the main dealer or someone like eurocarparts? Thanks again for quick response..

N.B. The new VAG switches don't require the pedal to be depressed, just insert & turn the whole switch clockwise till it clicks. The click is the lock disengaging, if it doesn't click it won't work.
