A6 wheels on A3 Sportback?

The wheels i have in mind comes from a 2002 A6 and they are 17" and have 225/45/17 tires on them.
Will they fit my A3 Sportback,offset,centerhole and so on?

According to http://www.alloyguide.co.uk/, the PCD is okay (5x112) but the offset is a touch low (ET35 to 38). This means the wheels would fit but would stick out quite a bit, and almost certainly rub in the arches.

I think marriedblonde has ET42 alloys fitted and he mentioned before that anything less than this will rub.

I went and looked at the wheels and they were 5/112 with offset 45 so they would probably be a nice fit,right?

I paid about 150GBP for them and the alloys were without any marks and the tires had a good 5-6mm left on them so i couldn´t resist buying them.

Sorry to hijack your thread Evotek, but does anyone know what the offset would be for these?

I believe they're from an '05 sportback?

On the sportback the offset should be about 50-55 so they probably are in that range.
To fit them on A4/A6 you would need spacers.

I would think those wheels would have an ET56 offset - my 17" Stars are.
