Hi All,

I currently have a B7 S-Line Avant, but due to the dreaded BRE problems, and am considering selling once my warranty has finished in May - and buying a TDI Allroad.

Any issues i should know - I know about the ECU problem on all Auto's!

My mane query is; what is the max size wheel i can get on a C5 Allroad?!
I have a set of S-Line 18's that i may put on and have looked at an Allroad previously to buying my B7, with 18” 9 arm’s on - But due to the chunky bodywork - I'd like to fit 9-Arm 19's on it... Would this be possible?!

Thanks in advance,

Gary :anbet:

I've got 19" S8/S3 alloys on my allroad and they go on no problem. They don't look too big either due to the size of the car and the large arches.

The C5 allroad has a unusual offset - its 25mm. My wheels have a 45mm offset and I had to use 20mm spacers with them to change back to 25mm offset.

My wheels are replicas and are 8J and are fitted with 245/40/19's dunlops. The proper road tyres make a difference to the ride and grip. You need to make sure you get 98 load rated tyres though.

You can also get 20's on the car - see here http://allroadfaq.com/content/wheelstires.shtml

PS This info is only for the C5 - so not of much use if you're after a C6 !
