Just been in audi dealer...u know what they told mr? They would do that if i buy the part from them... £1200 for a cluster??? Ask if was ok me getting a second hand one and the guy just had a word... NO

WTF? I'm working at Audi dealer in Latvia and for us it is normal that customer wants to use second-hand part for example instrument cluster because new is too expensive for him. Only problem with used parts CP is then when part comes from stolen car. Maybe try another dealer or ask for explanation to your importer.

Audi portsmouth... Thats tge dealer where i been... I ask him, if was ok , if i buy a second hand cluster, and if possible they disable the cp, but always no from him...
I ask if there was a cheaper way to do it, and he just keeped saying the only way is to buy the part from them...
By the look of him , was if u want u want if not just go... He just didnt care...
So thats the reason why im trying to find someone able to do that , but no luck yey

Some dealers are like that, others will just remove CP. Your best bet is just go to a dealer and just tell them your cluster is in CP, don't say you have changed it. What is wrong with your current cluster?

The problem is that the lcd takes ages to turn on... If is could takes arround 1 hour to come to life... Some one try to help me, replace just the back mainboard, but a SAFE message appears on the lcd... Was then when i realize that the cp needs to be disable... I found someone that disable the cp, but is in manchester.... If i dont find no one, in hampshire, i will need to drive to them... Better than pay over £1000...
I hear that Nigel AKA NHK do that, but cant get reply from him...

If someone have the same problem and want to save £, i sort out my problem, buying a second hand instrument cluster on ebay for 100£, and going to Audi VW Specialist Centre in Harrow... 65£ to remove the CP, 120£ to swap the cluster..
2 hours driving but well worth it...
Now just need to do mileage correction...
