A6 2.7 t oil pressure light

Hello all, iv Bought an audi a6 2.7t (150,000 miles on clock) few days ago, had a dodgy battery which was causing all types of problems, engine runs sweet as a nut and performs well however it had now thrown me an oil pressure symbol on the dash, i was driving the car and all was ok, until the oil temp hit around 70 on the gauge and then the fault kicks in, any common faults that relate to this issue? worst case scenario i will check oil pressure manually then pull the sump and check the pickup pipe & replace oil filter etc

anyone had problems with oilpumps?
