I just got an A5 ,the 2.7 tdi version ,my questions are what to look out for ,it has 170k klms,

The issues that I'm aware of so far

The central locking works on the lock button but wont open on the button .

The coolant gauge doesn't go to 90 on motorway speed

Regarding your coolant temperature check both your main thermostat and the egr thermostat. Just did both on my car as I was having the same issue and now the problem is solved.
