a4 roof motor

Earlier this year I had the motor replaced on my A4 convertible (2007) it has now stopped working again and I am being advised there is a second motor that needs to be replaced, could someone confirm this for me thanks

I think there's one that operates the roof latches but I've never heard of anyone changing it, what's it doing? how far through the opening routine is it going?

The roof is closed in the open position, the hatch raises slightly, but no sign of the roof raising
