A4 Oil Type?

Hi,

I have an 2003 Audi A4 1.9 tdi. I want to change the oil this weekend and not sure what type exactly do I need. Would any of you be so kind and tell me?

My friend has 5l bottle that he can give to me but I'm not sure if it will be the right one.
His is ROWE VW 502 00/ 505 00/ 505 01. Is that any good?

It's ok , 505.01 is a PD oil .

5w40 or 0w40 fully synthetic Castrol or Quantum Longlife I'd go for but if you already have oil you could either use it for a flush or just replace it with that I guess (I'm a snob so I'd only use the two I mentioned).

Now I'm confused -_- ..... How to tell if my engine is PD by looking at it? If it is, does it require different type of oil? Please explain, because I'm confused...

The car is a PD .

507.00 oil is better , but the 505.01 is
F R E E .

Both are PD oils .
