A4 esp / abs light help

Got abs and esp lights on in my A4 b7 8e . Scanned car and changed sensor , now light is on almost straight away when driving . Car failed mot over this and need to get it sorted ! Please help

Well glowplugs would either be all are toasted or loom is faulty.

Google engine mount solenoid A4, common discussion as is brake switch, that probably needs replacing in footwell.

Wheel speed sensor faults throws up the ABS fault light, the ecu knows the signal is implausible meaning ESP and ABS won’t work.

2 speed sensors have been faulty in my A3 for years, If I clear the codes with VCDS the light stays off long enough for the MOT

Brake light switch changed, seems to be working and checked operation in VCDS.
ESP light is permanently on, ABS light is illuminated when 5mph is exceeded.
Borrowing a laptop with an actual usable battery to check operation of ABS sensors.

What a coincidence my ESP light came on today and wont go away too, happened when I was braking, and the rear brake lights bulb faliure warning has been coming on and off recently too. Seen many people write brake light sensor so all the evidence is pointing towards this.. is that assumption correct?

I changed my brake light sensor and checked it’s operation on vagcom and still no joy.

Rear right abs sensor registers no speed at all.

I disconnected battery for about half hour, connected back up, let it run for abit and esp warning light has gone, took it for a decent drive hard braking/acceleration and all seems fine. I have no doubt it will make an appearance at some point though lol

I’m not sure at this point. You might have problems with your abs sensors.

No idea man. Like I said in my post itll make a return.. it has.. so i will be following this posts lol, ill update you what I do and see what happens.

I have one possible theory - On my B6 Audi, I had a problem with the ABS warning light - VCDS told me it was the rear D/S sensor so I changed it (what a SWINE of a job when its seized solidly in place) but that didn't cure it! Not a happy bunny.
Took it off again & with a bright torch, looked in the hole in the hub carrier whilst rotating the hub slowly. Bingo! found that the ABS ring on the driveshaft had rusted through & broken which put a gap into it that the sensor picked up as a fault. So, after some dismantling and swearing (lots of swearing) I managed to extract the drive shaft out of the hub, remove the broken ring from it, clean it up & fit a new one (it's the same as the front driveshaft one.) That finally cured the fault. Maybe it's what's wrong with yours too?

Maybe the level of mechanical knowledge needed for your reply baffles some people mate.. but good on you for doing it yourself, since I posted here the ESP light has gone and hasnt returned since.. so im thinking my issue is a sensor somewhere!
