A4 cab aerial trouble

Hi all,

I'm sure this has come up before, but can anyone tell me how to systematically test the aerials on my car?

I have lost all radio. I have taken the boot lid lining off, and in the past someone has run a new cable from the left hand antenna amplifier to the inside. On checking the wires in the hinge, they seem intact.
How do I test the amplifiers themselves?
They are 8H0 035 225 J and L.

Open up your boot and then remove to rubber on the left hand side with the wires in and follow it down about 3" and I bet the wire has broken

That's why a new wire has been run.
Do you think this one has broken too?
BTW how do you check for a dead antenna amplifier?

That's great, but I still don't know how to tell if the antenna amps are dead.
