Does anyone know if the A4 B8 window switches with the alloy tips will fit in an A6? Or if they can be retro fitted?

IIRC correctly the later A6 2009-11 switch gear has alloy/metal effect tips.
Will try find images/part numbers if they are.

Yeah the A6 switches look like this

and ive managed to get a hold of a full set of A4 B8 switches for nothing, same as this

But unsure if they will fit, just before I go ripping everything apart.

yeah , a bit of a bummer, the mirror control knob fitted so at least I got that.
They weren't far away from fitting, when the button was pushed it would stay pushed, when lifted to put the window up it would stay up etc.
I dare say if I got handy with a Stanley knife and trimmed some plastic away they might have went but I'm not really wanting to butcher the door card to find out they wouldnt.
