Hi, has anyone got any ideas on how to improve spoolup on the turbo, mine doesn't seem to kick in till 1800rpm
Have checked the turbo for play etc all seems fine, it just has no low end power and when it does kick in it doesn't seem like proper boost .

Egr won't be helping .

I didn't think egr would make that much difference, and if I blank off early then dpf will become a problem,?

Other way around , the egr diverts exhaust gasses on part throttle so robs the turbo of an earlier spool with ALL the gasses available .

Egr causes poor combustion causing more soot , so the egr is bad for the dpf , engine , fuel economy etc.

But doesn't the dpf regeneration rely on the egr?
Ie with egr blanked the dpf won't regen and become blocked? Thanks
