A4 to Ute
I bought a 2001 Avant station wagon specifically to convert it to a Ute. I have seen the kit from Smyth but thought the Avant would be an easy conversion.
Here's my MAJOR problem: Avant has side curtain airbags along the roof I am planning to cut out. How do I remove just those airbags without disabling the entire airbag system? I think it might be as simple as disconnecting the battery, disconnecting the rear curtain airbag and inserting a resistor across the cable leads.
Has anybody done this? Will it work? What size resistor?
