I have an A4 Avant and in hot weather to boot don't open, I've tried adjusting,but all I hear is solenoid moving but not enough to open lock, is there anyone who's had same problem and fixed it???

I had the same, went to town in it with wd40 as a temporary measure as it was all gunked up. Hasn't been a problem since, and we've had some hot days over the last few weeks. When it sticks again I'll take it apart and do it properly as bez said.
Mine also used to bounce open sometimes when I shut it, which it seems to do less now. I think they may have been related.
