My Audi A4 avant boot has started having a mind of its own which is not ideal for the wife who is taking the push chair in and out of the boot everyday. The boot is opened by the key fob or the boot button on the drivers door but for some unknown reason then starts to close for no apparent reason, which is really dangerous! There has already been a few head injuries from retrieving the shopping and pushchair.
Ive noticed this problem has raised its head before on this forum however it doesn’t seem like we have a smoking gun.
The key fob still works fine for when I want to open or close the boot.
The battery has been changed in the fob too.
Audi dealership also wanted to start stripping the rear trims for £300 but couldn’t promise theyd find the fault!
Any ideas welcome.

Must be getting a close signal from somewhere, you need to diagnostically monitor but that's hard as it's intermittent, so it's going to be one of those things where may need to start swapping parts out.
