A4 Avant 2010 hood won't open

Hi,

New to the forum, bought my very first Audi last week, an A4 Avant S-line 2.0 TDI from 2010, so also new to Audi

I have a problem though, the hood of my car won't open. When I pull the lever inside the car nothing happens. The lever seems a bit sluggish when pulled.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong and what I can do to get the hood open?

Ok, so I got it open now. Had a buddy of mine push down on the bonnet while I pulled the lever and then it popped open. I gave the lock mechanism some lubricant, but it still won't pop open that easily. Any suggestions on how to make it better?

may be need greasing the locking mechanism ti free up the spring action,,,

I tried to work the lock mechanism and give it some more lubricant. I also adjust the small rubber "springs" but it still goes a bit sluggish. I still need to give it a push on the front before I opens.
