Ok my mmi seems to be malfunctioning. The sound goes off and sat nav and media stop working does anyone have any ideas on what may be the cause. iv been advised it might be the amp but they are very expensive to replace on a whim. So would rather get a second opinion before spending big money

If you don't know anyone with VCDS you could buy a female MOST loop back adapter off eBay and put it on the MOST fibre optic cable for the B&O amp. If the MMI works OK it will point to the amp. If you have a saloon check for water in the base of the boot lid. This can run down the struts of the boot lid and drench the amp.
