Hi Everyone,

Newbie here with a question re my '02 A4 3.0 quattro sport. The time has come for it's first cambelt change and I was wondering if, given the labour costs, it is worth having anything else replaced with the belt eg thermostat/waterpump?

I'm not that familiar with the architecture of the 30v V6 engine but I remember when I had my V6 Audi 80 2.8 there were a couple of additional items considered worth changing at cambelt time.

Also any recommendations for good independent Audi specialists in the Cheshire/North West area who could help me out with this?

Many thanks, Paul.

While your doing the cambelt you might as well do the thermostat, waterpump and tensioners it will save you money further down the line, as for garages the cambelt is on fixed price service at audi, not sure how much that is on yours though, you could also try awesone gti in Irlam Manchester they are really good and know there VAG engines or PSI Tuning in Stafford..
