A4 2.8 quattro

Hi lads,

Hopefully going to look at a 2.8 quattro A4 tomorrow.

Does anyone know anything that i should look out for?

Or anything that i should make sure is done?

Timing belt at around 70k no noises from the front suspension ie knocks/clunks/groans.No light on the dash. and normal car stuff

Hire an AA mechanic to asses the car if you are interested. He will tell you what needs changing and what will eventually need replacing. I have used them myself and they are excellent.

Check for oil leaks, cam belt will de due at 80K so check for service history,

Control arms should be checked as these are known to fail.

Nah this was near Glasgow. When i went to see it, the body work was terible. So decided against it.

ZeroK66 - whats the millage, history on yours might be insterested.

Thought for some reason it was a trade sale. As i will need finance or need to sell my car in to short a time frame.
