odd ting happens to my a4
When off the throttle and coasting down a hill in gear the miles to empty drops massively

If I’m driving gently I’ve worked out in getting about 46mpg no dis on this car yet but having cruise and dis coded shortly
Just wonder what is going on with it
Is it just a quirk or sign of something wrong.

As for improving mpg I’ve already changed thermostat and cts as temp gauge wasnt getting up to temp
Now sorted and has had a full service

What’s next to look at?

Might be the gradient if the fuel level is low.Does it do it on the level or with a full tank?

It does it regardless of fuel level or if on a gradient or not

Sorry no its the opposite of what it should do.

I'll get 50-52mpg on a gentle motorway cruise (60-65mph).
Your 46mpg isn't that bad.

What’s next to look at?

what type of tyres and pressures are you running? makes a difference. Ive got an AWX and get about 48mpg combined so your not far off.
