The Audi UK website is showing "A3 Sportback is now subject to availability. Please speak to your local Audi Centre for pricing and stock availability matching your requirements." Is this due to the new model coming soon, or some other significant event?

I believe that the next-generation A3 is expected to be revealed this summer!?!? So probably on sale towards the end of the year or early next year.

Neighbour a3 saloon just got cancelled by audi.
Was just told all factory orders for a3/4/5 are cancelled and they are only selling stock cars.

This makes sense. The all new A3 is due soon, and a facelift A4 + A5 are due later this year. Use up existing stock first!

Still showing available on Audi.ie and Audi.de ! Strange.

Not really. Existing stock is being used up. RHD cars are solely for the UK market but LHD is a huge market, therefore, a bigger stockpile.

Peed off is an understatement.
4 months wait and get told it’s not available. It was a lease car so whether it’s Audi or the lease company c0ck up we don’t know. My money would be on audi messed up somewhere

Don’t think this has to do with lhd and rhd. Even with lhd there are variations of cars. For example USA use brake light as indicators.
Different countries have different rules and spec.

Why did they take the orders in the first place?

Going to be lots of ****** off customers and surely there is a contract in place to provide the goods?

Can see it now, sorry you’re order has been cancelled but wait 3 months and you can order a new model on a 4 month lead time at a 30% cost increase.

It might make sense but if you'd ordered an A3 and they'd just cancelled it you'd be pee'd off regardless.

Not to mention the possibility of no motor if you'd sold the previous private in anticipation of the new one.

**** poor customer service really that you can order a car, they take your money and then cancel it.

I expect nothing else from Audi these days. Chap on the RS3 forum who had his RS3 land in the UK, suddenly got told the car was cancelled (due to WLTP) and he never got it.

Imagine expecting your new car within a week, selling your old car ready for it's arrival, and suddenly get told, you ain't getting it?

If Audi take an order, then they must surely honour that order? They must know when the car is due to be axed?

Audi seam confident they can treat their customers with distain, and yet the power of the 4 rings, will keep them coming back for more.

It will be in the t&c’s. If it’s something out with their powers then they can’t be held responsible and you get your deposit back.
Audi UK are just importers for audi cars nothing more. They are good at washing their hands of responsibility if some thing goes very wrong then advising customer it does not affect your statutory rights.
The dealerships will start crying when people start moving to other brands. With the price increases and lower quality/reliability they are not gonna get the level of sales they are used to.
