a3 soundsystem speaker issues

Hi,

Recently bought a 2001 a3 1.8t and have noticed the rear speakers and sub dont work.

Does anyone know what may be causing this? Everything is connected, fuses ok, is it maybe a lead disconnected at the backof the unit?

Cant check this yet as I dont have any keys to remove it.

Chances are the car had an aftermarket HU fitted and they forgot to plug the rear/sub amp lead back into the stock HU. Either that or they butchered the wiring so they couldn't plug it in. It's a 20 pin mini ISO plug and it slots into the top slot on the back of the HU.
