a3 sline 19 " tyre size and wheel offset question

I have an 09 tdi a3 sline and looking to put some 19" replica wheels on there and lower the suspension a little..

Any idea what tyre size i should be looking at 225/35/19 or 235/35/19

Also which offset is ET45 ok? Or do i need higher offset? (hard to get )

Im looking to lower the car a little more but obviously dont want to wrect the ride with rubbing

Hi ok i wasnt really planning on going for the stretched tyre look to be honest, the wheels i have in mind are 19 x 8" and et 45:-

19" NEW RS6 ALLOY WHEELS WITH TYRE A3,A4,A6,A8,MERECEDS on eBay (end time 15-Mar-11 00:38:31 GMT)

Any idea if i need 225`s or should i be ok with 235`s?

Read above mate 225 .35 no rubbing and not stretched

235's will scrub with that offset get 225's if you dont want the stretched look

ET54 is usually standard, running stretch will ensure there is no rubbing, you will be chancing it with 225s.
