A3/S3 Photos Thread

How did you get on fitting it? Thinking of getting one myself now
I actually got the guys who did my wheels to put it on at the same time, as installation involves drilling holes and I’m not great at measuring and lining things up I’m sure if you are pretty handy with things it’s probably not too hard a job, and there’s bound to be YouTube vids :)

Oh bummer! If you zoom in on my pics you’ll see there is a bit of damage in the same spot on mine from previous owner, I used Dupl-color to make it less noticeable. Will text you shortly

An afternoon well spent, a quick trip to Halords and hey presto, it's not a single grill conversion but it's the next best thing :Grey B7:

I've been reading the forums for a while so thought may as well join.

@Dikonou nice chairs, really look the part!
@Fogg72 smart, well done!

Here's mine, almost paid it off already, no RS grill, no map, no external mods just yet (*yet being the key word here), big induction pipe, waiting for 3" downpipe.
30mm lowered.

S3 reg out 2

Hi all,

New on here and sharing a quick pic of my latest addition. Only cost me £300 as there's a few bits need doing so there'll be plenty of questions later.

Forgot to mention, it's a 2007 Sportback 1.9tdi, 148k with the optional 17" alloys. I've just put 4 new Avon ZV7s on it since the pic and an oil change.

Looks amazing. Love the color as well. I made the same choice a year ago, absolutely love those wheels.

The best choice indeed.....is yours 19'' or 18''?

Mine 19'' and I had instant rubbing with the rims on at the back....19*8.5 ET44.
Removed the screw from the bumber at the back an trimmed the plastic there very carefully and seems ok now.

Mine are 18s, I went extra careful since I always have kids on this back seat. Went for 18x8et48, no running at all. Doesn't look as nice as your setup for sure.

Great

18 turns out to be the best measure not to wear out the car

Thanks

Gorgeous example, tcardio! Do you recall the breaker you imported from? I’m stateside and want to transform my 3.2 with a genuine S3 front end as well.

I transformed mine a long time ago and the breaker has long gone. Ebay has many of the parts. Europrice stateside if you get frustrated and just need parts. The front end can be found readily on the webs. you need a new crash bar or cut the ends to fit. Ive seen many a front bumper on ebay along with the fog surrounds.

Had the chance to pop back to an old shooting location and grab some fresh photos! The S3 wheels have been recently refurbished and have tidied the car up no end. Finished the car off with some EZ Chrome which really brought the paintwork out nice!

Wow that red pops. Do you guys drive your cars though? Seeing non-peppered front bumper always hurts when I compare to mine :D
