How did you manage to get that much detail out of them? All I get is that its in production.Managed to get ahold of the consignment number from my leasing company after the delivery date got pushed back from end of October to end of November last week. Audi CS have said my car (and many others) is now at stage 7, which is apparently the final quality control checks before being released from the factory.
Anyone else managed to get an update this week?
The first bit (date) is from my leasing company, who in turn hear it from the dealer. How did you manage to get that much detail out of them? All I get is that its in production.
I just phone this number and the guy I spoke to told me this is not something that customer service do.The first bit (date) is from my leasing company, who in turn hear it from the dealer.
The stage information I got by speaking to Audi CS on the phone (0800 699 888). Chap mentioned it was at "stage 7" so I just questioned what that meant, how many there are overall (he didn't say) and what comes after it. They were quite helpful but did say to call back in a week for more information, which seems to be what they tell most people. It also seems that the core stages remain the same from when the 8V order thread was being used. The problem now is we just don't get the same level of data we did back then.
From memory when I got my 8V, there are I think 9 core stages and these had different visual steps in the tracking app when it existed. Assuming 7 is true and it is the final factory checks, 8 would be something like "In transit" (left the factory, sitting at Emden, on a boat, arrived at port of entry, waiting for dealer to collect it) and 9 "Arrived at dealership". Again, purely from memory, so I may be wrong.
Took mine about 4 weeks to get to the dealers from the point they said it was on it's way to Emden. At long last a worthwhile update!!!! Now the question is how long did everyone wait for their car to arrive in the UK/dealership from this point?

I got that message over 3 weeks ago. It somehow took 2 weeks to get to the port of exit. A further week until I got the ‘Port of exit released’ update then 4 days until it shipped. At long last a worthwhile update!!!! How’d you find that information?
Mine has been pushed back two months and was supposed to be last week(39) and still not confirmed. They messaged me back with check next weekMy order is still scheduled for week 41 but unconfirmed, I'm wondering if it's even possible that it will go to the production next week. Anyone can share how many weeks prior to production they had confirmed the date?
Someone in another Audi group had it posted. The code numbers were what I was asking at each stage and Audi confirmed them. How’d you find that information?
I had a confirmed build week of 37 given to me by my dealer about 3-4 weeks before. Checked this week and dealer states still showing confirmed build week 37 with no further information on the system. It’s anybody’s guess whether any of this is true!My order is still scheduled for week 41 but unconfirmed, I'm wondering if it's even possible that it will go to the production next week. I'm quite jealous I hear news soon mine was ordered July and order form said Dec but dealer is saying marchOrdered A3 S line TFSI 35 Navarra Blue back in May. Advised it was on its way to the UK 9th Sept, update today is it is sat in Grimsby and I may get delivery this month. Sounds more like I may not get it this month. Now blaming the HGV driver shortage.
I guess it doesn't make any change wether week is confirmed or not, I was so happy to get my car next monthI had a confirmed build week of 37 given to me by my dealer about 3-4 weeks before. Glad you like it, good to hear.So I've had my car for 5 days now and all I can say is WOW! The car is definitely worth the wait guys, so as hard as it is, try to hold tight. I would definitely say the hype was worth my 10 month wait.
Also one thing that's notable after driving it for 5 days, I've not had 1 single error message! Maybe vehicles are now being shipped with new software?
That seems very excessive, mine arrived in the UK on September 20th and my dealer had it delivered to them on the 30th.Glad you like it, good to hear.
How long was yours at Grimsby before they delivered it to the dealer ?
Mine landed at Grimsby last Friday but dealer reckons nearer the end of the month before I get it.
I’ve got it in automatic as well. Always driven manuals so it’s a change for me. How do you find it? It looks beauts!!So I've had my car for 5 days now and all I can say is WOW! Stunning car isn't it! Had so many comments on it alreadyI’ve got it in automatic as well. Always driven manuals so it’s a change for me. How do you find it? It looks beauts!!
Tell me about it, I think it's rained every day since I've had it! Typical really...Looks lovely, really pleased it was worth the wait . . . )Now will you stop driving it in the rain and post some sunny pictures lol
I had an automatic as a courtesy car a few years back for a couple of days and loved it .. I toyed with going for an S-Tronic, but still ended up going for a manual as that's what I was used to, you feel the road and are more in control .. that said, when this one comes to an end, it's something I'll revisit (just wish they weren't more expensive!)
I just wish they'd paint the roof antenna the same colour as the body of the car, that would look nicer and blend in .. on a black car you don't notice it, but on a lighter colour you do (not that it's a major thing) ..staring out the window the White VW T-Roc over the road also has a black Antenna, I'd not noticed that before (proves I guess you don't really notice!)
Placed the order in mid-April for a Sportback Vorsprung 35 TFSI S-tronic in Mythos Black, no add-ons.When was your order placed and what spec did you go for?
Totally agree - It's something I hate - They started doing it at the end of the 8V model - I had a Daytona S3 and that was color-coded - My current S3 is black so not an issue - It's the same with the mirrors on the A3 (excluding S/RS) unless you go blackI just wish they'd paint the roof antenna the same colour as the body of the car, that would look nicer and blend in .. on a black car you don't notice it, but on a lighter colour you do (not that it's a major thing) ..staring out the window the White VW T-Roc over the road also has a black Antenna, I'd not noticed that before (proves I guess you don't really notice!)
I'm quite a fan of it myself, along with black mirror caps, it adds nice little accents to the vehicle.I just wish they'd paint the roof antenna the same colour as the body of the car, that would look nicer and blend in .. on a black car you don't notice it, but on a lighter colour you do (not that it's a major thing) ..staring out the window the White VW T-Roc over the road also has a black Antenna, I'd not noticed that before (proves I guess you don't really notice!)
. . . It's the same with the mirrors on the A3 (excluding S/RS) unless you go black
Just more penny pinching from Audi I'm afraid
S line and below are colour coded to the car. Anything above become black, as part of their black optics packageSo the wing mirror housing on a new S Line is black, not body coloured? Ugh. Dont like that, very penny pinching indeed (also not what the 'Build my A3' shows you when you choose a colour, it's the same as the car colour!)

Have you asked Audi Uk via messenger where your car is.So, my car is due at the dealership on 25th. I have chased and chased my leasing company all week for an update and I haven’t had a reply to any emails. Who’s betting it’s gone back again and they just don’t want to tell me!![]()
My leasing company won’t give me the commission number, I’ve asked a few times. Very annoying. Always feel like they’re not telling me somethingHave you asked Audi Uk via messenger where your car is.
That is what I had to do and mine arrived in Grimsby last Friday. It’s still there apparently !
You would think they would get them to the dealers immediately after customers have waited months for them.
Keep asking, I kept asking for it until they gave it to me. They probably got fed up of me asking so gave it me to stop going on at them.My leasing company won’t give me the commission number, I’ve asked a few times. Very annoying. Always feel like they’re not telling me something
Audi’s system is down ‘apparently’ so they cannot give any updates. How convenient
That’s good news. I also ordered early June, build week has been and gone after changing around, heard nothing new yet though.Hi, new to this group. Ordered an A3 Sportback Sport 35 TFSI early June and was told car had BW 35. Been following this forum for a while and seen how long the wait for cars is.
BW passed and I thought I would have months to wait but pleasantly surprised by receiving an email from Audi on Wednesday saying car has been built.
How long usually does it take to come from the factory to the dealer? Nics
