No doubt C&S will have something to do with it. I've ordered edition 1 with C&S in March, now estimated build of week 14 next year. That said my daughter ordered a 30 tfsi s line prior to me, no extras and she too has same estimated built week 14. C&S clearly can't be the only issue.Audi A3 35 TFSI S Line S-Tronic [C&S] Sportback with 18" diamond cut alloys & Audi Phone Box with Wireless Charging in Navarra Blue.
I've emailed back to say if it's the Wireless Charging causing the delay to just remove it from the spec as it was just a "nice to have" and not a necessity but going from the other comments on here it might the C&S pack which I'm not willing to budge on so I'll have to wait if it's that causing the delay![]()
My spec was very similar to yours (I added the auto gearbox, lumbar support on the front seats and Turbo Blue as the colour). Ordered May 7th, delivered September 3rd.Greetings! First post and all that .. Ordered my first ever Audi A3 yesterday (wifes had them for years, but as my current lease is coming to an end, time to waive goodbye to my Volvo V40 R-Design T3, which they've now stopped producing). So A3 Sportback, 35 TFSI 150 S-Line (Comfort & Sound Pack, Navaraa Blue, 18in 5-y Spoke Diamnd Cut alloys). So my million dollar question .. Any ideas on a rough lead time for the Spec I've chosen?![]()
That's good news for youMy spec was very similar to yours (I added the auto gearbox, lumbar support on the front seats and Turbo Blue as the colour). Ordered May 7th, delivered September 3rd.
Yes - I seem to have done really well compared to others on here. Not sure how or why. My neighbour was the same. He ordered his A3 in January and it was delivered in May. He used a local Audi dealer, I went through a broker. It doesn't make any sense that we both had reasonable lead times whereas others don't. I do live in Yorkshire though and we get preferential treatment, obviously...That's good news for you.. I had an email off the dealer (again) this morning telling me mine will be ready around May/June next year, but not to hold them to that as things may change for better or worse! :-/
You should count yourself lucky at 6 monthsordered my A3 Sportback 45 tfsi e s-line competition in White with C+S, 4 way seats, Driver Assistance, Extended Ambient Lighting and High-Beam Assist last week (company car) and been informed delivery time will be 26 weeks - 6 months, what the hell!!!
Welcome to the Land of long waits, lack of any tangible updates and misleading info.ordered my A3 Sportback 45 tfsi e s-line competition in White with C+S, 4 way seats, Driver Assistance, Extended Ambient Lighting and High-Beam Assist last week (company car) and been informed delivery time will be 26 weeks - 6 months, what the hell!!!
I thought yours was like mine ‘On it’s way’My latest update. IF delivery goes ahead and isn’t pushed back, I will have been waiting 7 looooong months for my car!!
Only 5 weeks to go… fingers crossed!
Your luck. If my estimated build doesn't come forward, I will have waited 13 months until delivery. The first suitable car I can source will result in cancellation. My latest update. IF delivery goes ahead and isn’t pushed back, I will have been waiting 7 looooong months for my car!!

It was due at the dealership on 4th October and now it’s the 25th. I’ve asked my leasing company for the commission number so I can go to Audi direct but they won’t give it me.I thought yours was like mine ‘On it’s way’
Mine left the factory 11 days ago to be transported to the port before going on the ship. It is still on its way to the port !
Really don’t know what to believe.
We'll just have to admire them in our drivewayswell at this rate, even when the car comes there’s going to be no fuel at the pumps to fill them! The worlds gone crazy.
That’s the same as I get told ‘ Expected at the dealership’It was due at the dealership on 4th October and now it’s the 25th. I’ve asked my leasing company for the commission number so I can go to Audi direct but they won’t give it me.
they can’t even tell me if it’s ready to ship or not. All I get is it’s expected at the dealership…
I don’t know why they wouldn’t. I asked mine and they gave it to me. I did have to ask twice though. It was due at the dealership on 4th October and now it’s the 25th. I’ve asked my leasing company for the commission number so I can go to Audi direct but they won’t give it me.

I literally just had the same reply as you! My car started production on 6th September and I’ve just had a reply from Audi on Twitter saying it’s still showing “in production”….According to our vehicle order tracking system, your vehicle order is still awaiting further updates from our Factory. Nothing more has been confirmed since your vehicle went into production on week 36, which commenced on the 6th September. Please, feel free to come back any time later and we will be more than happy to check the updates for you?
Keeping everything crossed![]()

When I had an update on 10th they told me it “would be finished by next weekend” so I’m not exactly hopeful anymore that I could get my car next month![]()
I get that too. Surely the dealer will just contact Audi Uk and give you the same info you got via Twitter or Facebook.I keep getting this at the end of updates
Audi is committed to keeping the Centre network up to date with the latest production and supply information. When available, we will also supply the network with current and predicted lead times. For these reasons, your Audi Centre is best placed to give you any updates regarding your order.
Does that mean don't ask us ask your dealer ? I'd love to have updates from the dealer but they don't even reply to me
Just placed an ordered for an S3 and my A4 is due back in a couple of weeks. The dealer has guaranteed a minimum equity in the car for trade in (this could go up) and are leasing me my current car at my existing payments until the new car is ready.Someone else mentioned a few posts ago: what happens if this goes on for ages and you’re left in a position where an existing car you’ve got has to go back before the new ones ready (so if Audi keep pushing the date back due to production/manufacturing problems, are they under any obligation to provide a cover vehicle so you’re not left without one whilst continuing to wait?) How does that work?
Been lurking in this thread for a while, makes the wait that little bit easier.
Ordered a Sportback Vorsprung 35 TFSI S tronic in Mythos Black back in mid April, no add-ons. All has been done through a leasing company and the original estimate for delivery was meant to be today (27th September), which has been pushed back to 25th October. Leasing company never provide updates as they have an online portal you can check, but they don't make it clear whether the date on there is something they have come up with internally, or it's communicated from Audi. When pushing for more info, they give the default "semi-conductor" related answer.
With everything people have written here, the only thing that's clear is that there is really no correlation between spec and order date. My only assumption is some have ordered through dealers who had build slots for existing stock vehicles and they've updated it whilst still able to, making things move a bit quicker.
I’ve seen one 71 plate edition 1 on the road. But not seen many 71 plates at all. Probably due to no cars getting out the factories and everyone having a massive wait like all of us.Mine is the same as yours, no add ons, A3 35 TSFI in Daytona grey. I ordered 30th March and due to be at the dealership on 25th October. Fingers crossed. I must admit, I haven’t seen many 71 plates on the rd, the odd 2.
Think my mothers neighbour is hogging all the 71 plates, they've got two on the drive! (One a Audi Q2, the other a Kia Sportage), but they're the only two I've seen since the beginning of the month come to think of it.I’ve seen one 71 plate edition 1 on the road.
