A3 Misfire problems???

Hi ladies and gents,

Took my A3 1.4tfsi to be mapped on Saturday to find out that there is a misfire in cylinder 4 and has been misfires in all cylinders over the time since it was built.

AMD said it's a common problem and could be either spark plugs, coilpacks, old software(maybe an update available) or down to using poor quality fuel.

Other people are saying it could be as serious as needing new injectors.

Anyone faced similar problems and what was it? or does anyone know of this fault and what the fix is??

Is it a COD engine and do you think AMD might be misinterperating when the cylinders are being deactivated? I doubt if any misfire had been there from new and down to the fuel, so get a second opinion...
