A3 Meet - 31st January - Lakeside, Thurrock, Essex (M25 J30 /31)

Hey guys. I'm definitely up for a meet.

I'm also in Essex, so something in that area would be good. Someone mentioned a monthly one at Bluewater, that's not too far from me so would be interesting to check out. Anyone got details?

Beanoir, I'm near Chelmsford and also MHill, I'm in Clacton at least once a month visiting family there. Would be good to arrange a meet some time.

Well there seems a few responses from the Essex area, Staz, you're the other side of the M25, so how about a half way point somewhere on the M25, isn't there that cafe that is famous for its car meets, the name escapes me right now...

 

Ace Cafe?

Never been though heard its either full of bikers or the Max Power brigade and rammed out!

 

What about something like the Thurrock Services off the M25? Should be easy to get to for most people and I think there's plenty of car park space around there.

 

ACE cafe is great and they have a huge carpark but I guess it depends on when you go, weekends are rammed.

Lakeside in Thurrock is always used for cruses every Thursday i think so its quite popular place for petrolheads to meet.

 

this seems to be turning into an "Essex" meet, which I don't mind, but how many people would willing to travel to Essex? I was hoping to open it up to as many people as possible really.

 

Yeah I don't mind travelling that far on the right day. Are we think a weekend in January?

 

Ok, well a weekend would be best I think, last weekend of January? Sat 30th or Sun 31st?

 

Last weekend in Jan works for me ... count me in.

 

Lakeside can turn a bit chavy, was shopping last weekend and there where loads of modified cars buzzing around. Thought id have walk around whilst i was waiting for the other half but i only lasted 10 minutes as it was just fools driving like idiots! Which was a real shame as there was some very nice metal all be it mixed with some very **** fiberglass!

 

If this is going to turn into an Essex 8P meet, why don't we meet in Chelmsford, as it's pretty central and easy to get to?

Thurrock/lakeside/ace cafe are all good idea's i think

 

Chelmsford sounds a good idea for a starter, if anyone's interested few of us from SeatCupra.net are meeting up on the 3rd at Ipswich for some abuse/banter followed up with some good food.

Right guys, I think Lakeside was the best plan, it suited most people as it's on the M25. I haven't a clue which part of Lakeside yet, but we mentioned the last weekend in Jan, i'll confirm more exact details nearer the time, unless anybody knows the best spot to meet.

if ya do a midweek meet and have chat with the chaps at ace cafe ,they usually really accomodating,def think a easy focal point fa most people down this neck a the woods !!!!

hi Granite City loon y not try and organise a meet in Aberdeen for after new year as i would be very interested in attending as i av recently become a new owner of a A3 1.6 SE black editon (2004 plate) and would love too meet up with members so as i could get some good advice as i really no nothing about cars (G/Friend) knows more than i do a bad way. cheers

So wish I could make this as I'm in London and could do with some advise on some mods. But going to be in Thailand on this date!!!!! You can put me on the list for the next one!!!
