I've done 2200 miles in 3 weeks, 1600 of that has been 60-90mph motorway. At least 1 hour per journey, gentle warm up etc...

The other 600 has been A road / country driving (not thrashy), but with the engine fully hot on every trip.

Perfect for a long service interval you'd think? This evening I checked and it said 'service due in 9400 miles or 538 days'.

Thats only 11600 miles to the first service. Have to keep my eye on that.

The petrol versions seem to take longer to learn your driving style / habits. My TT took about 3-4k to settle down ( @ 17k service ) Last two diesels have learnt within first 2k miles /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/noidea.gif
