Anyone replaced all of these on a non quattro A3? Just wondering if they are do-able as adiy or are they strict garage only job?
thanks

Its all "do-able" at home, but it depends on your level of expertise.

The fronts are stright forward but the rears are quite a big job as you need to disconnect the axle with brake lines etc.

BTW, do not replace the rear bushes with polyurethane items on a non quattro A3.

pretty much all the bushes all round.
level of expertise is excellent.
Why do you say not to replace the rear bushes??

If you have a press and are familiar with doing this kind of work then it'll be no problem at all, if you don't have a press and havne't replaced any bushes before it'll be a right pain in the **** - or was on my S3.

I think the rear bushes cause dodgy handling on FWD A3s there was a post a few weeks ago.

Doing the work is not too much of a problem but if its going to mess up the handling i will advise my friend not to have it done.
Any idea where this post is??
thanks
