Audi a3 8pa sportback drivers door central locking not opening everything else works like indicators electric windows just wont lock or unlock on drivers door any suggestions would be appreciated.

check your door harness, open the door and pull back the rubber grommet (on the car body) housing the door harness and check for any split wires, i had this when my driver doors would only lock sometimes. be careful doing this, when this happened to me the wire fully split into and i had to resolder the wire back together
There I a far simpler way of finding out where your problem lies but it costs a fair bit to buy a Vcd's cable , but you can get round that by checking out the Vcd's map to see if a member is close by you who would be willing to do an Autoscan on your car this way you will find out if it is electrical , or by the OBD eleven scanning tool.
