Hi

Some time ago I noticed a strange sound coming form engine bay it was quiet on start but now its really irritating. I went to the dealer for a diagnose and they told me that my gasket form vacuum pump is gone and some oil leaked on my gearbox mount and it gone soft, price for gearbox mount 360e +. I went to another dealer just to be sure. During test drive with the technician no sound whatsoever :/ I asked them to take a look on the gear mount is everything ok there, and they said all good. On my way home that sound came back

I can hear it only when I'm accelerating and its coming form left side.

Any one had a problem like that ? I'm not sure now is it that mount or driveshaft?

I recoded that sound with my phone attachment below

Watching this, as I have the same noise, Doesn't do it out of gear! 2.0 BKD sportback

Any idea what is it ? On the start I could only hear it above 70 mph now I can hear it all the time

I can be driving with cruise control at 70/80 mph and go over a slight rise in the road and it happens.
Thinking this maybe a engine mount, happens more on a left bend than on a right.
Only guessing at this stage.
