A1 1.4 140 bhp

Sorry I know this is a S1 forum but my need now is for more economical motor so my S1 has to go (GUTTED)
Does anybody out there own this model A1 of this spec for some feedback?

Is that the 140bhp ACT model? or is that a twin charger model?

Probably the one with the cylinder on demand technology as that's the one with slightly better mpg
year would be 2013 onwards

Not considering a diesel A1 especially if your after economy, my wife has the latest 3 cylinder petrol Mini she gets no more than 40 plus mpg.
Diesel definitely the way forward if your after economy.

had a tt diesel and started to hit dpf problems started to go through a re-gen every tank of gas
not to interested in repeating the scenario

I had the 1.4 ACT in my Ibiza its an okay engine quiet as hell.
but the real world mpg is about 45mpg.
I receive 34mpg in my s1.
Both stock and both doing the same journey.

My wife has the 1.6 TDi A1, great economy on her 100 mile a day round trip to work (between 54 and 60 mpg). Sorry no experience of the 1.4 petrol engine.
