Anyone thinking of changing their bulbs beware of this.
If you lose the clip which holds the cover on you will have to buy a complete new headlight ! :sign_omg: :wtf:

I couldn't get a new one anywhere even the breakers I rang wouldn't sell me one:banghead:

Why the hell don't they just sell them singulary it can only be a couple of pounds for one, not the hundreds for a whole system!! :sob:

Ouch!
Can't you just take a secondhand B6 for a test drive and nick one from it?

Thanks for the warning, Ive got a heavy and would probably end up breaking the clip. Id rather pay a tenner and get a specialist to change bulb - they brake it they replace it.

Thanks Mcgough, I sorted it by making my own clip. I just amazes me that manufacturers can be so stupid sometimes!

BTW if you need brighter bulbs try the Halfords super brilliance I just bought some and got buy one get one free deal and they seem a lot better

Niknak I only put them in yesterday, but they do seem brighter than the original ones I had in the car. I don't know how they would fare against some of the more expensive after market one, but as I say I think they are ok

The won the group test recently beating the Philips and Osram bulbs.

well a week down the road, and the clips holding ;) and the bulbs are quite a bit brighter than the originals so in answer to Niknak yep if you want brighter try them .

Been and got some so fingers crossed i dont lost that clip lol

Well if you do give me a shout I'll knock you one up ;)

I've just put a pair of Halfords super brilliance bulbs in this week. Loads brighter than others I've tried, though not as white as some.
