A simple mod planned

I've just ordered the bits from Docklands Audi to retrofit luggage net tie-down eyes and "curry hooks" in the boot of my saloon. They came to £60 (thankfully, I already have the elasticated net - a remnant from a previous car that already had the tie-down eyes), and should be ready to collect on Wednesday.

I'll try to remember to post pics when I fit them

and nets can be picked up off ebay for cheap if you don't have one, was lucky enough to have eyes and hooks in my boot already, just no net, so £12 later and bingo, job done

Some of the part numbers have changed, according to the parts man, so here is the latest info, straight from my invoice.

Curry Hooks

Brackets x 2: A1K5 867 615 A: £5.52 each
Screws x 4: AN 013 969 21 AN: £0.19 each
Speed washers x 2: AN 015 437 4: £0.39 each


Cargo Net tie-downs

Tie-down eyehooks x 4: A1J0 864 203 C6 PS: £11.29 each
Screws x 8: AN 104 560 01: £0.23 each

I still have a cargo net left over from the car before last.

All prices include VAT.

Sorry I thought the net was the expensive part and I've hardly hot two pennies to rub together at the min!

Actually, you're right. The cargo net is about £50 from a dealer, but can always be picked up on the 'bay for a lot less.
