Right, decided to fit my new eiabch sportline springs today.. 10 hours later, still not done and I have a bust cv joint!! grrr
Breakdown of time:
Drivers side front spring off: 30 mins
Driver side front new spring on: 30 mins
Both rear springs off: 20 mins
New rear springs on: 10 mins
Passenger side front spring off: 45 mins (mega stiff in the hub)
Passenger side new spring back on: 7 hours 45 mins of massive struggle fighting with it to line it all up due to drive shaft popping out at the gearbox end (without me realising for half that time)
Bottom line: don't try and do it yourself, especially without a ramp or at least propper jacks and axle stands! lol
Anyone got a spare inner CV joint (2005 DSG sport) I could have tomorrow or Monday btw? Near to MK is ideal....
