Hey all
I have a question I am hoping someone can help with.

So I have managed to get a nice RS3 style grill for my 8V S3, but looking at it it appears to be missing the sensor holder for the crash sensor which sits behind the number plate and also the sensor itself.

How did you guys who have made the swap get on with this? and did you order a replacement?

Thanks

You talking about the foam thing that activates the pedestrian airbag?

Its a little plastic holder on the back of the number plate surround, which holds what I am assuming is an impact sensor.

I managed to make a small bracket and fitted it to the ridge above the Quattro section. If you have a mesh only grill then you could make a small bracket and mount behind the plate.

I did the same as I've got the quattro section at the bottom of the grill.

Had to drill a small hole in the rib above the Quattro on the rear side of grill. Used a small M3 or m4 screw and nut with a tiny spacer to hold it flat. A cable tie would also do it.
